Sphygmomanometer is a common measurement tool. From the original mercury sphygmomanometer to the current electronic sphygmomanometer, the sphygmomanometer has undergone four generations of upgrading. In the process of updating the electronic sphygmomanometer, one component has been retained from the second generation to the fourth generation, that is, the pressure sensor.
The principle of the electronic sphygmomanometer is simply to inflate the inflatable cuff to make it have enough pressure to prevent blood flow in the local aorta. As the pressure gradually releases, the measured pressure is the systolic pressure when blood begins to flow through the arteries. It can also monitor pulse rate. Continue to slowly deflate to gradually reduce the pressure in the cuff.
When the cuff pressure drops to or slightly below the diastolic pressure, blood flow resumes smoothly, and the measured value is equivalent to the diastolic pressure of the heart. This completes a complete measurement cycle, which is completed by the pump, inflatable cuff, electronic valve, and pressure sensor inside the device.
Among them, the signal generated by the pressure sensor is processed by the operational amplifier or instrument amplifier and sent to the ADC (analog-to-digital converter). Then, for different types of sensors and monitors, appropriate methods are used to calculate systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and pulse rate in the digital domain, and the results are displayed on the LCD screen. Usually, data and corresponding time/date are stored in non volatile memory.
The electronic sphygmomanometer is a portable instrument, and its built-in pressure sensor naturally requires small volume and light weight. WPAS01 plastic pressure sensor is a plastic pressure sensor made using high-precision MEMS pressure sensitive chips and mature production processes. The product is packaged with SOP8, which is small in size, low in cost, high in sensitivity, high in stability, suitable for module assembly, and very suitable for the use of sphygmomanometer.
